Germany has called reports of China training Russian military personnel 'deeply disturbing', in a statement that underscores the sharpening anxiety among European governments about the true extent of Beijing's support for Moscow's war effort in Ukraine, NDTV reported.

While China has publicly maintained a position of neutrality on the Ukraine conflict — declining to supply weapons and calling for a negotiated peace — Western intelligence assessments have increasingly pointed to substantial Chinese economic and technological support for Russia.
