The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has described itself as 'deeply pained' by the Ram temple theft controversy, calling on the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to order an immediate probe — marking the first formal public response from the Hindu nationalist organisation to a row that has rapidly escalated into a national controversy.

The controversy erupted after footage connected to the alleged theft at the Ram temple in Ayodhya surfaced, triggering shock among devotees and political opponents alike.
